STRATEGY |
|
Each participant in the program is paid an hourly wage for her work. This enables her to earn immediate income outside of the sex trade and also reinforces her commitment to the project.
The profit generated from the products sold in American and European markets is funneled into scholarships for college in India and abroad.
Anchal ultimately becomes a business owned and operated by and for the New Light women and girls of the Soma House. They create the products and stories that are sold in the U.S. with the help of Anchal’s American team members.
As a business and facility, Anchal performs ecologically, economically, and socially-minded practices becoming a model of sustainability.
Eventually, Anchal looks forward to support more such target groups within South East Asia. |
